100 Page challenge Manga edition

So what is the 100 page challenge?

simple! draw 100 pages of replicated manga in a 40 day window


I suspect this one to be much harder than the character one i did.

A replication page could take me anywhere between 4-6 hours each, so i will probably be averaging 12 hours of drawing a day which is pretty steep considering how low things have been


I believe this will improve my skills tremendously because i am drawing digitally and not traditionally!

When i draw traditional the mistakes i make arent seen clearly, and digital promotes fixing flaws.

I also save time creating boarders for the pages since i can simply trace them (yes tracing the boarders because the margin of error i get creating the layout messes up what i try to draw in the panels)


After i looked through mangahere for manga styles id like to replicate.... I realized that 99% of the published manga is poorly drawn! While it is still far better than mine, the art of most of the manga fails. Ironically 99% of the art on Fakku is high quality but i doubt i will learn much when the characters are naked in obscene poses

But yeah even naruto has really low quality artwork due to time restraints on kishimoto... Shojo art is by far the worst in the manga world! While it does have its appeal like the big shiny eyes, and dumb virgin innocent girl...The artist in shojo butcher hands so much and somehow make it seem like it was ment to be! Plus facial features often get placed in weird places either by style choice or by mistake.

Would also like to mention Bakuman has the best art out of anything i have seen but it's stylized out of the scope of what id like to learn
